The Purrify Scoopmate® doesn’t recognise kittens weighing less than 1.3 kgs. Kittens under 1.3 kgs can use Purrify Scoopmate, but not in automatic mode. Until they reach the appropriate weight, we advise using Purrify Scoopmate in "semi-automatic" mode to keep your kitten safe and to avoid the hassle of scooping the litter box.

For "semi-automatic" mode, ensure
Purrify Scoopmate is powered off or unplugged. Once you see your kitten has used it, wait about 7 minutes for the waste to clump, then power it on.
Purrify Scoopmate will automatically start a cleaning cycle. Afterward, turn it off again. Continue using this supervised, semi-automatic mode until your kittens are heavy enough to activate the
Purrify Scoopmate®.

Getting your cat used to the Purrify Scoopmate is simple. Start by gradually introducing your cat to the Purrify Scoopmate to make the transition smooth. To prevent startling your cat, keep the Purrify Scoopmate turned off until your cat has used it. Place the Purrify Scoopmate in the same spot as the old litter box, and keep the old box nearby for a while. Add a cup of litter from the old box to the clean litter in the Purrify Scoopmate; the familiar scent will attract your cat.
